The Carrollton Manor Volunteer Coalition (CMVC) was formed in 2004 to join Community Organizations together to deal with local issues as a team and as a stronger voice.
The name “Carrollton Manor” refers to the land Charles Carroll called his summer home that stretched from Point of Rocks to Buckeystown.
The term Volunteer was selected because member organizations are required to be volunteer based organizations.
Representatives to the CMVC, are Presidents of their organizations or their designees.
Meetings are held at the Adamstown Grange on the Third Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm. Check the event calendar on this site for any changes to that schedule.
Have an issue or a problem concerning the area? Don’t know where to go to get it solved or an answer? Contact your organization’s representative.
Don’t have a representative? CMVC is seeking all local volunteer organizations and volunteer groups to join our Coalition to strengthen the organization and our community’s voice. Don’t belong to an organization, then contact any one of our representatives or attend our meeting as a guest.
Current projects that we are working on include:
Working with Frederick County on the 25 acre Eastalco Park site
Planning the upcoming Adamstown Day event in Sept. or Oct.
Keeping watch on the proposed WTE plant & location
One thing I always thought was misisng on the 25 acre Eastalco Park site design was a Pavillion that could be use for fund raising for the Park and Shelter to get out of a weather.
Next year we should have a blood drive at your festival!
